Love “old style” pads
We’re so glad Staples still sells lined pads, without 3 holes on one side for use in a binder, with gummed tops, so each page can be easily torn off from the pad. These are shorter than other pads where you tear pages from a perforated line at the top, so the entire pad easily fits inside a letter-sized folder.

Product has disappointing changes
The photo and comments indicate no margins but the latest delivery has a red margin on the left of the sheet (1 1/8 from side) and, therefore, on the right side when turned over. Paper has a grayish tint and disappointing quality.

not enough glue
You cant flip over the sheets as they just come off the pad. Sometimes sheets just fall off by themselves

Pads of paper, adhesive at top
I am so happy with this pad. It has only a thin adhesive at the top, so it tears easily and cleanly, unlike the fancier and more expensive kind that has a binding at the top. Those tear unevenly and ragged.

Nice pad without that snaggy edge at the top
It is hard to find a notepad without the thick top that catches on other papers. The gum top is elegant and not as rude.

These pads are fine and do the job. They were reasonably priced. These pads have no binding at the top, and while the bound pads are little more expensive, I would have preferred those, since the pages rip off the body of pad a little easier. Staples did not have the other style when I was there.

staples note pads
I like how the sheets don't rip and make jagged edges at the top when you pull a sheet off the pad. This makes this notepad my first choice when ordering note pads.
