Connectivity
At first connection my computer (iMAC) rejected connection. Only through customer service did I learn that my computer had issues doing it.
It would be good to identify at purchase that the connectivity requirements are - software and hardware.

I gave 1 star because I can't get the darn thing to work not enough directions come with it this downloading is for the birds. We took the scanner out of the box thinking that it would be an easy hook up but of no it sure is not!! Canon LIDE300 Scanner Review
I use this scanner for basic everyday scanning
of mostly text documents. I do scan images sometimes
and find it does that quite well also.
Having owned a Canon LIDE30 scanner for a very long
time, I can vouch to say, from my experience, that it

Won’t synch with computer
Old scanner (9000) which I liked would not support new apple mac (sequoia OS). Had to buy new scanner (Canoscan life 300). Can’t get it to work with new computer (which was whole reason I. Ought it). Now worthless. Still not connected. Need help

Canon Scanner LIDe 300
Love my purchase. Canon never fails to build great products. I've had this for a few weeks now and it scans and copies with great clarity. For the amount of time I use this, I couldn't be more satisfied.

Great Scanner
I like how light this is and even though there were a few reviews saying it didn't work. I had no problem with using the scanner. I was able to easily upload the program to my computer from the scanner's site, and it quickly scanned the items i used to test it out. Easy, Simple, and light.

Good but not great
I'm sure is great with documents but I got it for photos. Not great. It says 2400 DPI but photos scan max of 600 DPI. Not what I thought when reading the product specs. Does scan better than my previous model at same DPI, though.

This is one of the worst product experiences I have ever had - this should not be for purchase - drivers/general support - I wanted a portable scanner for a gift for my child of 14 who love scanning drawings - and after 1 week from 8/13-8/20 of trying to get this to work while on our vacation where we gifted - I returned home on 8/30 to find the return window was close...
