Maybe mine is faulty but…
The main reason for purchasing it was to be able to “dock” my MacBook and have access to another monitor and my other office equipment easily. The monitor works just fine when plugged directly into the laptop but will not work when used with this device.

requires driver installed.
Can't install anything on work machines. Sold as docking station-like. Docking stations don't require drivers. Driver might compromise security on machine.

Disappointing product and lackluster tech support
These seem to work well out-of-the-box on Windows laptops, but require two drivers on intel-equipped MacBook Pros for both the dual external displays and the Ethernet. Your mileage may vary, but here’s my experience: I was unable to get it to work on my 2017 i5 MBP 13, so I returned it. Can't use with Macbook w/M1 processor
The majority of Macbooks these days have the M1 processor chip. So how can you sell a docking station that is useless with the majority of Macbooks being produced these days? There's nothing on the package that indicates this technical deficiency. Thankfully, the return policy at Staples is pretty hassle-free.
