It didn't meet my needs
The print quality was good. It doesn't have automatic 2 sided printing and it doesn't tell you which way to load for the second side. It is not possible to load much paper and it has to sit out on top of the printer sticking up. It won't automatically print from a PDF, you have to open Adobe Reader or something program like that and save it. It was not easy to chang...

Nice Printer
It was I needed not to purchase cartridges. I basically needed just a home printer for my desktop, however nice that I could print remotely if needed. Tok a little while to configure and set up.

Terrible printer
only works on 2.4ghz. Most of my devices wouldn’t connect to it though using same shared WiFi. Waste of time and money.

poor choice.
Much bulkier than the HP 5530 than it is replacing. Paper feed adds 4 inches in height. Limits where it can fit. Copying from the computer incredibly slow. Copying from the screen good. Quality of the print excellent. Would not buy again.

The printer is not what I expected! Not able to connect it to my iPad or iPhone ! I need to return it or have someone at Staples connect it for me ! I called HP and that’s what they told me to do !

The printer is OK. It took some time to set up, but once connected has operated well. The printout rate is slow. However, the low price for the machine with ink included makes it a value for someone who does not need a printer on a daily basis.

The print quality is good, but the printing process is agonizingly slow. 15 seconds from when I hit "print" for the machine to determine printer status, a full 45 seconds for the first page to print. Multiple page documents print at an acceptable speed once the first page has printed.

Not My Usual HP!
Difficulties in getting the printer to link up with my BluePeak (HP help was not helping...BluePeak was able to achieve the connection. The printer is VERY loud and clunky sounding compared with previous HP printers. I purchased this because of the 2 years of "free" ink. I have a feeling I will be replacing before those two years are up....

Not what I was expecting base on the official reviews
The overview on HP is deceitful. On the website it says : Print speed up to 12 ppm (black) and 5 ppm (color) but in reality it’s 2 minutes FOR ONE COLOR PAGE (on one side) & about 50 seconds for ONE black one. Adding to the fact that it doesn’t print on both side … forget about the rest of your day if you have to print a lot of pages for school or work!

The 5101 and HP help are very disappointing
The printer is really tough to trouble shoot when there is a problem. When you go to HP, you have to fight your way through a robo script list of question. Hopefully, you may be lucky to get a real live person. They are very helpful but tough to get to. How you do two sided copies is not the great. Does not auto turn to on its own to do a two-sided copy. Bought for wife...

Easy Installation!
Longest part was unpacking and filling the tanks. The HP Smart software that I was instructed to load on my laptop quickly got the printer onto my network and communicating with laptop. Prints by the time I walk into the remote room. Quite pleased!
