Point retracts
I bought a twin pack Clear Point Elite mechanical pencil at staples. The first pencil worked fine for a few weeks but then the point retracted. I tried replacing the lead, dismantling and then putting together the pencil again etc. but nothing worked.

Needed for newspaper puzzles

Lightweight & easy to use
These are great pencils. I always prefer mechanical pencils and these hit the mark. The writing is smooth and clear. The eraser does a great job and doesn't leave a mess or tear the paper. I have to buy more as my kids have requested them for school.

Great pencil, but...
Great pencil. Smooth, comfortable, easy to operate. Two downsides, eraser will not stay put and pocket clip is worthless. Build it better.

Great quality
These are long-lasting and top quality. My son in college has made good use of them and says they are stronger and last way longer than the typical cheap ones we buy for him. They make dark lines without pressing overly hard and the lead does not easily break.

Great product!
These pencils are excellent, comfortable to grip and write very well. I use them daily for work and my kids love them for school, I love how sturdy this is in comparison with other mechanical pencils.

Great pencil
Great pencil. I love how it weights. Lead is strong and does not break easily and is nice and dark. Does not write with a shein or a glare that I find most often with other lead pencils when working in my workbooks for school. Easy to refill and the eraser is clean and smooth. It dosent smudge or leave Mark's when erases. It erases nice and clean.

Writes Smooth
The bic Clearpoint 0.9MM Mechanical Pencil 2CD SS writes smooth, less breakage when using a thicker lead.
I like that the lead clicker is easily accessible as your writing.
The eraser does well to erase lighter marks, darker marks seem to take more effort and sometimes still noticeable.

Very well constructed
Thank You for allowing me to try the Paper Mate - CLEARPOINT 0.9MM MP 2CD SS.
I love these pencils. They write very smooth. I love how it has a jumbo erasers. They erase very well. The product has a textured grip that offers comfort for writing.

New Favorite!
Absolutely fussy about my pencils. Until I used these mechanical pencils, I felt on an endless quest to find a perfect pencil. The lead is nice and dark and doesn’t require extreme pressure. The eraser is outstanding, leaves no smudges or smears. I will buy these again!

Good
These are my go to mechanical pencils, they do cost a little more, but it's the best trade off for the amount of eraser you get, button to push up the lead and overall quality you feel from the weight. And it has #2 lead, so it'll be fine for all standardized tests!

Great Writing Pencils!
I have a habit of going through pencils a lot. Most of them end up breaking easily. I did not have a problem with the Papermate Clearpoint 0.99. I could it to be long lasting.
