I've used these for at least a decade. The three-hole punch and wide line width are two favorite features, plus the cardboard on the back is strong, so I can carry the pad without having to add a thick folder/binder. I usually take a pad inside a simple pocket folder, and the pages I've written on go into a pocket (along with any handouts) until I get home to file them.

Not the same as in the store
This Staples brand "Double Pad" is not the same as the Staples brand Double Pad you find in the store. This paper is cheap, thin, and off-color (not bright white.)

PANTONE: PMS YELLOW 0131 C
Decent color but wished it matched Pantone's PMS YELLOW 0131 C, or Canary Yellow to follow the Bruce Almighty aesthetic of my home office kingdom den. Otherwise the right amount of perforations for a satisfying tear. All your base are belong to us.

Not the same as Ampad. Returning this product
I used to buy the Ampad version of these pads. Last time I bought a pack was in the spring, so I looked up the stock number from my recent order and tried to locate the same Ampad package of pads. Love it
I have ordered other yellow legal note pads before, but these are the best so far. The solid cardboard backing is great when I am walking around writing notes. The other ones I ordered were very flimsy.

Staples Notepads 6 pads/pack
I didn't like these as much as the smaller ones that come 12 pads/pack. These were just too bulky for the portfolio cases that we use. The 50 sheets per pad are more suitable for our needs.

The perforation doesn't work!
I purchased this pad a few years ago, and *loved* it. I've purchased 2 since then, and the perforation doesn't work. So, when I tear out the sheets I have ragged edges, which is exactly what I didn't want. I need a 3-hole punched perforated pad with yellow sheets - it shouldn't be this hard.

Good for Research Journaling

the extra heavy backing makes this very easy to use even if not sitting on a table. i use notebooks for trials and the 3 holes make it easy to insert pages where needed.highly recommended

Glad They Still Make It
I have been using the Staples Double Pad, Yellow, Wide Ruled with 3 Hole Punch product for years and am glad they are still offering it. I like you can use both side of the paper by just turning it over. This makes it especially handy when and if you store the sheets in a three ring note binder. NOT THE SAME AS THE ONES SOLD SEPARATELY
I bought a pack of these after loving the ones I bought in-store at Staples, thinking that the quality would be the same. Although the branding is identical, the paper on these pads is not as thick or smooth, making for an unpleasant writing experience. I regret this purchase.
