The perfect pencil
Not unlike Goldilocks, I discovered the perfect pencil years ago the first time I started to use a Dixon-Ticonderoga 2-5/10. A No. 2 lead is too soft and a No. 3 is too hard, but a No. 2-1/2 is just right. Bad lead
Lead in the pencils is broken inside the wood. So when you sharpen them the lead falls out

Not as Advertised
Ad said pencils were pre-sharpened but they were not. Specifically wanted pre-sharpened as a joke for a friend. They were medium lead as advertized and not soft lead which was a plus.

These last a little longer than #2 pencils before requiring sharpening. In the end I was happier with #3s.

They Are Just Pencils!
How do you review a pencil? They are about seven inches in length. They have an eraser at one end and (after sharpening) have a graphite tip on the opposite end. Not much to review, and certainly not rocket science. The #2 1/2 graphite performs with greater elegance than #2 graphite which tends to endlessly break.

The Water Managers/Engineers seem to really like them
I purchase the Dixon Ticonderoga Pencils #2.5 because the Water Managers/Engineers like to use them. They seem to last and hold up to all their calculations and sketches!
