Dixon # pencils
I don't too much like them, I did not look to see that they were # 3 pencils before I ordered them, I like #2 pencils. Will not order these again.

Good price, quick delivery
I discovered how difficult it’s become to find #3 pencils, my preferred hardness. Other retailers wanted premium prices, and I wasn’t willing to pay more than $10 for a single pencil!
Stumbled upon these and am happy with the price, next-day delivery and quality. Now I have my source!

These #3 HB are more like #2 actually. Very light lead and not at all darker. Other brands like Staedtler is a far superior choice with better lead as are the erasers. Ticonderoga are NOT what they were in the past.

#3 pencils
store clerk told me the higher the number the softer the lead. I was looking for a smooth writing pencil and this is not it.

Was informed by the salesperson that #3 would be darker than #2. In reality not much difference. Disappointed in the product not the store.

Dxon/Ticonderoga Pencils
The #3 pencil has nice darker lead, but the wood splintered some when I was trying to sharpen it which made the sharpening time consuming.

I wanted a softer lead than the #2 pencil.
I was told that #3 would be softer but it's harder! I will be returning the pencils very soon.

Not dark enough
I have been using the No. 2 pencil and that number writes too light. Therefore, I tried the No. 3 pencils hoping the lead would write darker. Not by much, so was disappointed. The clerk said that to find a No. 4 softer lead I would have to find and buy an artist's drawing pencil.

Great pencils
Ticonderoga #3 hard are great carpenter pencils.
Only wish they were still made in the USA.

Best Pencils!
I have been struggling with a box of awful pencils with impossible erasers. They literally created a mess on paper when the eraser was used. I love the eraser on the Ticonderoga pencils. The best.

Dixon Ticonderoga No. 3 hard lead
Hated. already gave away. Learned to read #on pencils in future. No wonder they were cheapest.

Great Pencils!
Much more durable than #2 pencils! I was looking for a sturdier pencil so I thought that I would give a #3 pencil a try and I am glad that I did. Excellent quality!

Back to School
The Dixon Ticonderoga pencils are just the same as they always have been; the best. I like using pencils instead of ball point pens and these remind me of being in grade school. They work great.

Great pencils, sharpen well and eraser doesn’t smudge. Never had a crooked lead. Worth the price

Softer Than Expected
These are called hard lead pencils, but the lead is disappointingly soft. Won’t stay sharp. Need a better option
