What Can You Use Heavy-Duty Binders for?
If you want to keep your papers or other materials safe, opt for a heavy-duty binder. A heavy-duty is made with broader and more substantial front and back panels that are less likely to rip or be punctured, so you can rest assured the contents will be kept safe and neat. Use these sturdy binders along with sheet protectors to easily organize and protect documents such as notes, manuals, journal entries, reports, and more. You can also use heavy-duty binders for other items, like photos, cards, or collectible items.
What Size Heavy-Duty Binder Do You Need?
Staples heavy-duty binders come in a variety of different sizes, ranging from one to five inches. The sizes help you determine the capacity of the binder, with the inches roughly correlating to the number of pages it will be able to carry. These heavy-duty binders tend to come with D-rings, which enable them to hold roughly 25% more paper than common O-ring binders. Slant D-ring binders, which we also sell, can carry even more paper.
In order to make the best binder purchase possible, you should determine in advance the maximum number of pages you’ll carry in your binder. Use this information to guide you:
- Heavy-duty 1” binder holds 200 pages
- Heavy-duty 1 ½” binder holds 300 pages
- Heavy-duty 2” binder holds 400 pages
- Heavy-duty 3” binder holds 550 pages
- Heavy-duty 4” binder holds 750 pages
- Heavy-duty 5” binder holds 850 pages
How Are Heavy-Duty Ring Binder Sizes Determined?
When shopping for a heavy-duty binder, don’t simply look at the binder’s spine to assess whether or not it will work for your needs. Many people assume that the 1 inch or 3 inch label refers to the width of the binder’s spine.
